Bureau de Change is an award winning architecture practice founded by architects Katerina Dionysopoulou and Billy Mavropoulos. Get a glimpse of their latest project in Fitzrovia that embeds craft into the fabric of the building. Architects Bureau de Change, fabricators Stage 1 and commissioner Adriana Paice, discuss who the new development will use bronze, metal and other materials. To accompany the discussion, a large scale model of a key decorative detail in the building will be on show. Created by Bureau de Change, it captures the innovative approach to traditional craft techniques that flow throughout the building’s design.

Bureau de Change’s work is a direct product of their founders’ upbringing, passions and experiences – combining the pragmatism and formality of their architectural training with a desire to bring a sense of theatre, playfulness and innovation to the design of spaces, products and environments. The result is a studio where rigorous thinking and analysis are brought to life through prototyping, testing and making. Within the last two years Bureau de Change has been shortlisted for the New London Architecture awards twice, the Architects Journal Awards 2015, The London Design Awards 2016 and the RIBA Manager Medal 2016. The studio won Best International Retail Space – World Interior Awards 2015, Best House of the year – Sunday Times Awards 2016 and the Break though Act Award - FX Awards 2016.
