Founded in 1854, City & Guilds of London Art School is a not-for-profit, specialist higher education institution offering undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and diplomas in contemporary Fine Art, Conservation and Historic Carving as well as a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design. CGLAS is the UK's only institution teaching ornamental woodcarving and gilding and architectural stone carving to postgraduate level.
