Smythson Celebrates 130 Years with the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust
Smythson celebrates its 130th year with an exhibition exploring the brand’s rich history of innovation and craftsmanship. The event is presented in association with The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust.
Artisans from Smythson and QEST will demonstrate how traditional craftsmanship is still relevant today, celebrating a variety of disciplines across leather, stationery, books and diaries. The exhibition, developed just for LCW, transports guests to Frank Smythson’s workshop and draws on Smythson’s links to travel by bringing to life the golden eras of motor, steam, rail, and air. Guests can discover never seen before pieces from Smythson’s 130-year-old archive, together with new, innovative products that the brand offers today.
The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust QEST, the charitable arm of the Royal Warrant Holders Association, was established to help support craftspeople of all ages and from all backgrounds, at a critical stage in their careers and sustain traditional British craftsmanship.
