About
Emilie Coste welcomes you to her abstract surrealist ceramic exhibition. Get ready to experience a whimsical journey through the subconscious mind, with dreamlike sculptures filled with vibrant colours, distorted shapes and surrealist imagery. Embrace the unexpected and allow your imagination to run wild.
Emilie’s work is an exploration of the boundaries between reality and imagination. Each piece on display has been carefully crafted by Emilie, who draws inspiration from the surrealism movement, which seeks to challenge the conventional understanding of reality by exploring the unconscious mind. From twisted and distorted forms to abstract and geometric shapes, the collection features a diverse range of pieces that offer a glimpse into the boundless creativity of the human mind.
One of the standout pieces in the exhibition is a large abstract candelabra that resembles a surrealist landscape. The piece is made up of numerous smaller components that have been intricately assembled to create a mesmerising whole. As you move around the sculpture, notice that the different angles and perspectives reveal new details and hidden elements.
Another highlight is a series of functional sculptures that feature surrealist characters, distorted landscapes and otherworldly scenes. Each piece is a unique work of art, showcasing Emilie’s use of colour, form and composition.
