Bamford has collaborated with Injiri to celebrate and protect valuable handcrafting skills and traditions. They are selling an edited Injiri collection in their South Audley store, alongside an exhibition showcasing how each Injiri item is woven and embroidered by hand using traditional Indian textiles and techniques. Join them for an intimate hand embroidery masterclass, where Axelle Faes Cortes teaches some basic hand embroidery techniques inspired by the Injiri collection.
Injiri
Injiri is a clothing and homeware brand founded by Chinar Farooqui in 2009. Each Injiri product is made using a mixture of traditional Indian hand weaving, block printing and hand embroidery. Chinar’s creations are guided by her own intuition and beliefs with the aim of creating a body of work that explores India’s handwoven and handmade textiles.
