Battersea Power Station hosts alumni from Walpole’s Crafted: Makers of the Exceptional programme. The pop-up celebrates a decade of makers across various disciplines demonstrating their skills, talking about their inspirations and telling their stories.

Wed 9 May:

Sketchbook Sessions with Geoffrey Preston: a talk through the techniques and processes involved in creating his highly sculptural decorative plasterwork.

Thur 10 May:

Special Millinery Techniques Demonstration with Bridget Bailey:  a demonstration of her special techniques making velvet lily petals using embossing and wiring.

Fri 11 May:

Beauty & Function: Demonstration with Isatu Hyde: Potter Isatu will demonstrate sgraffito glaze techniques, flute a thrown piece of pottery, and discuss the essential philosophies and motivations behind her craft work.

Sat 12 May:

Artist and silversmith Miriam Hanid shares insights relating to the commissioning process with a talk and short demo focused on bespoke fine silverware.
