Bespoke Britain: A Maker’s Journey
Fermoie and Dudgeon Sofas invite you to experience their collaborative film, celebrating British craft and the journey of textile printing and upholstery from start to finish. Meet the team and enjoy an exclusive preview of Fermoie’s Tented Stripe collection, upholstered on Dudgeon’s Somerset armchair.
Fermoie and Dudgeon Sofas have collaborated for London Craft Week because of their shared values as designers and makers – namely, quality craftsmanship, using traditional methods to produce innovative designs. Both companies were conceived and made in the UK, representing British manufacturing at its finest.
London Craft Week is the perfect opportunity to engage with a community who appreciates the passion and creativity that goes into the fabric and the craft of traditional upholstery.
Experience their collaborative film, celebrating British craft and showing the journey of textile printing and upholstery from start to finish, and enjoy an exclusive preview of Fermoie’s Tented Stripe collection. Inspired by Napoleon’s campaign tent stripe and the fashion for tented interiors that followed, Fermoie has reimagined the clean stripe, filling the design with botanical texture and depth in seven colourways. The design has been beautifully upholstered onto Dudgeon’s Somerset Chair – a contemporary interpretation of a classic design, made only using traditional methods. Both Fermoie and Dudgeon Sofas use only natural materials: pigments, yarns, bamboo, coconut fibre, hessian, all available to explore alongside the film.
