CANCELLED Appliqué Bag Making for Beginners with Fine Cell Work
Fine Cell Work is a charity and social enterprise which trains prisoners in creative, high quality needlework as a means of rehabilitation. Discover the therapeutic power of stitch at their beginners’ workshop and learn how to make a beautiful appliqué bag.
Through teaching highly skilled needlework, Fine Cell Work enables prisoners to build fulfilling and crime-free lives. Their aim is to allow them to finish their sentences with work skills, money earned and saved, and the self-belief to not re-offend.
Fine Cell Work also guides them towards training and support on release. This fun, interactive workshop gives you a taster of the training that their ex-prisoners receive when they join their post-prison programme. Two of Fine Cell Work’s experienced prison teachers show you how to make a stylish appliqué bag, yours to keep after the workshop. Refreshments are provided throughout the day. This workshop is perfect for beginners, so come along, have fun and learn a new skill.
