Master shoemakers Carréducker host a week-long programme of events. On Thursday 9 May,  hear Avant Garde shoemaker James Kearns tells his story, Join Riina O' to learn the traditional skills involved in handsewn glove making and in the evening shoemakers Carreducker host an evening of shoe polishing. On Sunday 12 May leather craftsman, Frances Pinnock, hosts a three hour workshop teaching the skills involved in saddle stitch.

Master shoemakers Carréducker make bespoke shoes using centuries-old handsewn techniques, perfected over generations, with a distinct, contemporary aesthetic. Their work can be seen in the permanent exhibition at the Design Museum, London.

They opened the Shoe & Leather School last summer, keen for others to enjoy the benefits and satisfaction of working with their hands, and now offer a host of shoemaking, pattern-making and saddle-stitch classes.

Please visit the website for details of all Carréducker events.
