Contemporary Craft Showcase at Peckham’s Copeland Gallery
Booking not necessary, free
A curated display of contemporary craft at Peckham’s Copeland Gallery, with work from ceramicist Freya Bramble-Carter of the BBC’s Great Pottery Throw Down and Peckham-based weaver Christabel Balfour. A private view takes place on Thursday 10 May, alongside participatory workshops across the 3 days.
Hosted by Peckham Craft Weekend, this four-day exhibition celebrates craft and the maker in the creative hive that is Peckham’s Copeland Yard. Learn a new skill surrounded by beautifully curated, modern craft, with work from ceramicist Freya Bramble-Carter of the BBC’s Great Pottery Throw Down, Peckham-based weaver Christabel Balfour and many more.
Drinks will be provided by local breweries and many of the makers will be on hand to talk through their work and what craft means to them.
