In Conversation: Crafting Narratives at the Royal College of Art
This talk brings together artists Rosalind Wyatt and Catherine Dormor to discuss the role of materiality as a form of narrative within craft practices. In response, attendees are invited to create their own texts that take inspiration from Rosalind's calligraphic and textile-based work.
The half-day event, at the Royal College of Art, takes the form of a dialogue and workshop between Rosalind and Catherine, focusing upon how narrative and the handmade come together as modes of practice. They also consider ways in which the actions and activity of the handmade holds political potency beyond their materiality.
