This discussion explores craft practice and tradition across various cultural contexts, with a focus on Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities. Collectively, speakers consider the ways in which different craft traditions come together to drive change.

The discussion will be chaired by Rosy Greenless OBE, Executive Director of the Crafts Council. Speakers include Ndidi Ekubia and Peter Ting.

Ndidi Ekubia is a contemporary silversmith who uses traditional silversmithing techniques and takes inspiration from her African heritage.

Peter Ting is a renowned tableware maker whose designs have been displayed in various museums, including his ‘Buddha Hands’ coffee cups and saucers, which are currently in the V&A collection.
