About

Morley College London was founded to provide lifelong educational opportunities for diverse communities in London. It has grown its reputation with a unique strength in its specialist curriculum across the arts. Their teachers, makers and mentors are also artists. With unparalleled teaching, support and guidance, they connect students with awards, recognition and industry opportunities. Everyone at Morley is there to grow their skills, knowledge and experience in an accessible and like-minded learning community with some of the best facilities in London.

Morley College’s founder Emma Cons was an artist, social reformer and Suffragette. She was a true Londoner: forward-thinking, open-minded and determined to make a good life accessible to all.  Everything Morley College does to this day is about furthering these opportunities at their three centres in inner London.

The Waterloo Centre is here for the curious — for those who want to learn while joining others in their pursuit of knowledge. Explore workshops in textiles, jewellery, ceramics, drawing, painting, bookbinding, printmaking and fashion, alongside a Penny Lecture presenting the work of the Clayground Collective.

At the Chelsea Centre, they believe that creativity is a skill. It can open doors, inspire change and become the foundation of a new career. Spend a leisurely weekend exploring interactive craft workshops led by well-known artists and makers. Try your hand at something new in a range of introductory workshops including printmaking, 3D modelling, screen printing, pattern cutting, sculpting organic forms, millinery and black-and-white photography.

The North Kensington Centre is a local hub with a big vision and specialisms in glass, jewellery and ceramics. Learn the fundamentals of artistic glass making — cutting, fusing, foiling — or try an introduction to the jewellery course at their newly refurbished building.

By linking art and practical skills, people can make a living doing what they love. But it’s also about the people you meet along your journey. Come and join Morley College for London Craft Week and find your calling.
