Tuesday 10 May: The Making of Hyozaemon Co. Chopsticks 
During this online one-hour tour, visit the workshop of Wakasa Nuri, who only uses 100% natural urushi lacquer in Fukui Prefecture, Japan. Enjoy a demonstration from their expert craftsman of how they make chopsticks.

Wednesday 11 May: The Art of Ryukyu Bingata 
Ryukyu Bingata is a beautiful method of dyeing textile. It is an art form that has been nurtured by the unique climate and culture of the Okinawa Prefecture in Japan.  In this online tour, visit The Consortium’s workshop in Okinawa and learn about their Ryukyu Bingata techniques.

Thursday 12 May: SUWADA – Inside the Blacksmithing Factory
SUWADA is based in Niigata Prefecture, Japan, where they are renowned for their skilled craft in blacksmithing and creating the very best cutting tools, including bonsai sheers and kitchen tools. Go behind the scenes and see the SUWADA craftspeople making everything in-house, from raw material selection and forging to the finishing processes. During this online tour, viewers learn about SUWADA’s history, as well as have the opportunity to ask any questions.
