Introduction to Quilting: Make a Hexi-Flower From Liberty Fabric Scraps

A beginner-friendly introduction to the world of quilting and best practices. Join artist and quilter Jodie Glen-Martin as you use beautiful swatches of Liberty fabric to make your own hexi-flower. All basic materials and tools are provided.

About

Run by quilter and artist Jodie Glen-Martin, this introduction to quilting course is a taster for anyone curious to learn about quilting. No previous experience of hand sewing is required and all materials and tools are provided.

Learn the basic techniques by making a beautiful patchwork hexagon flower block, which may grow into your first quilt, end up as a decorative patch on an item of clothing, turn into a brooch or an appliquéd detail on a tote bag. The basic techniques taught are very simple, so don’t be put off if you can’t sew for toffee! With beautiful Liberty fabric samples at your disposal, The Fashion School guarantees that by the end of the session you’ll take home something you can be proud of. All they need is your enthusiasm and two hours of your time.
