About
Join Borough Kitchen for an interactive, skills-based workshop about the most important tool in your kitchen: a good, sharp knife. In this abridged version of their signature Applied Knife Techniques class — featured in the Evening Standard, BBC Good Food and more — learn the difference between European and Japanese knives, how to simplify (and enjoy!) would-be tedious tasks like chopping onions, and so much more.
Gain a practical understanding of these skills by making a rainbow salad that utilises different classic cuts and a variety of ingredients. In doing so, experience for yourself all the little ways a high-quality knife works to ensure food prep is easy and enjoyable. At the end of the workshop, which finishes with a meal that features the salad you made, gain a thorough understanding of how to apply these techniques any time you cook a meal, and what to look for when investing in knives.
