About
London College of Fashion presents a curation of craft excellence, with work from footwear, accessories, jewellery, tailoring and artefact, 3D thinkers, makers and doers.
LCF’s craft portfolio demonstrates their commitment to educational excellence, traditionally, progressively and entrepreneurially. Craft has always been at the college’s core, but more importantly has given them the opportunity to embrace a wider design imagination.
This one-day open door invitation features current students, alumni and course practitioners from:
• MA Footwear
• MA Fashion Artefact
• BA (Hons) Fashion Jewellery
• BA (Hons) Bespoke Tailoring
• BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear: Product Design and Innovation
• BA (Hons) Cordwainers Fashion Bags and Accessories: Product Design and Innovation
Golden Lane is where many of LCF’s most iconic craft programmes have lived for many years. This creative community has an enormously rich lineage of tutors, specialist technicians, artisans, academics, practitioners, makers, thinkers and doers. Graduates and tutors work across all levels of the fashion industry, high street to luxury, couture, bespoke, art and artisan across all subjects.
In this exhibition, the past, present and future of craft — from established thinking to the technological — are explored through psychological, multidimensional, physical, digital, audio and written works, which personify London College of Fashion, UAL as a leader in both education and industry.
The work featured has been carefully crafted and curated by a community of expert students, tutors, guest lecturers and alumni.
