Experience a sensorial film, fabric and tools installation at the LPOL Shop. Showroom. Studio. to discover what goes into the design and craft of the brand’s modern British bags.

LPOL was founded in 2009 by former Central Saint Martins graduates Katy and John Maskell Bell with a unique design ethos: traditional saddlery through a minimalist lens, designed and handmade in London.

‘As designers, we’re concerned with three things; fabric, form and function – with the sole aim to combine them effortlessly, sustainably and desirably in the best traditions and progression of our craft.’

Complementing their eye for timeless design and low-impact manufacturing, the duo pioneered a zero-waste method in their East London workshop – ensuring every offcut or scrap piece of leather and fabric is retained to produce new season prototypes, concept pieces, small goods and one-off gifts. Even the ribbons of skived leather are displayed and used to tag products in their London flagship store.
