For the first time ever, Morgan is moving its production line away from Malvern, Worcestershire, where it has produced cars since 1909. Located at the company’s flagship dealership, Morgan Works London, Morgan’s master craftspeople demonstrate the rare skills that go into handcrafting each Morgan car.
From hand-fabricating each car’s aluminium panels through to the carpentry skills involved in making the ash wood frames and the leather work to trim the interior, Morgan’s 21st-century coachbuilding approach remains unique within the industry.
In addition, one of Morgan’s senior designers, Thomas Brainwood, will also be taking part in a live talk compared by Morgan owner and friend of the brand, Dave Burt. Listen as Thomas talks through his own journey in car design, his experiences with Morgan, the company’s commitment to craft and tailoring, as well as giving insight into the future direction of the brand. An opportunity for audience participation and questions follows.
Playing a fundamental role in both the design of new and future vehicles, as well as working directly with Morgan’s clients on special projects, Thomas’ role is unique within the industry.
