Fine printers and bookbinders Barnard & Westwood offer guided tours of their royal warrant-holding print workshop and bindery. Exhibiting alongside them are calligrapher Gemma Milly, pen maker Tom's Studio and paper designers G . F Smith.
Royal warrant-holding fine printers and bookbinders Barnard & Westwood open their workshop for an evening of craft centred around the tactile world of printed stationery. In the digital age, it’s all too easy for the finer details of bespoke event invitations, handmade pens, intricate calligraphy and creative papers to be forgotten in favour of digital communication. This event showcases all that is great about putting pen to paper and creating something physical!
Joining Barnard & Westwood is a host of craftsmen and women from different industries related to paper, pens and stationery, including:
G . F Smith – The papermakers showcase their new ‘Extract’ paper range, a material made from recycled coffee cups.
Tom’s Studio – Tom creates unique pens and nib holders by hand using a 1950s Myford engineering metal lathe.
Gemma Milly – A professional calligrapher specialising in wedding stationery and bespoke commissions.
Alongside this, Barnard & Westwood offer guided tours of their print workshop and bindery. All guests receive their very own personalised notebook and refreshments are served in the main office.
