Refined Elements: A Featured Artist Showcase of Work by Layne Rowe
In Refined Elements, one of the UK’s leading glassmakers, Layne Rowe, presents a body of new work reflecting his signature style of natural forms and colours.
Founded by Peter Layton in 1976, London Glassblowing has become the UK’s foremost studio and gallery for contemporary glass and has built an international reputation for its flair in colour, form and texture. Originally established on the banks of the Thames, the gallery and studio is now based on vibrant Bermondsey Street, near London Bridge. Now in his 80s, Peter Layton is as active as ever and continues to encourage emerging and established talent in both his studio and gallery. The success of London Glassblowing for over 40 years demonstrates that interest in the crafts, and glass art in particular, is stronger and more dynamic than ever.
For London Craft Week 2019, London Glassblowing is pleased to be hosting a showcase of work with glassmaking demonstrations by Layne Rowe, one of the leading members of the British studio glass movement.
