SCP Presents Serially Unique Objects
Booking Details
SCP presents a collection of products that contextualise their unique approach to designing and making. As well as an exhibition of Floris Wubben ceramics and a demonstration of upholstery making, the brand hosts a talk between ELLE Decoration Editor Ben Spriggs, ceramicist Floris Wubben and designer Donna Wilson.
SCP is a producer and supplier of objects that walk the line between craft and design. They utilise British craft-based skills in many of the products they create – including traditionally made upholstery pieces from Norfolk, terracotta tableware from Suffolk, ceramics from Stoke-on-Trent and textiles from Yorkshire.
For this exhibition, SCP has invited Dutch ceramist Floris Wubben to present a selection of his most recent work, and also to sit down for a designer Q&A to give an insight into his working practice and approach to making 'Serially Unique Objects'.
SCP is also presenting a number of new 2019 designs and a live upholstery demonstration of the creation of an SCP Motley ottoman by Donna Wilson, made entirely of natural materials and upholstered in a specially made knitted wool by Donna herself.
