Sculptural Ceramics at Camden Arts Centre
Taking inspiration from the Jonathan Baldock exhibition at Camden Arts Centre, this practical one-day course led by artist Fredrik Andersson gives a detailed introduction to sculptural ceramics, focusing on hand-building techniques and decorative finishes using slips and underglazes.
Starting with an informal tour of the Jonathan Baldock exhibition, this practical one-day course gives a detailed introduction to sculptural ceramics, focusing on hand-building ceramic techniques. Taking place in Camden Arts Centre’s Ceramics Studio, demonstrations focus on coil building and slab work, followed by finishing and decorative techniques using slips and underglazes. This course is suitable for those with little to no experience of ceramics.
The course is led by Fredrik Andersson (AKA FreddeLanka). Fredrik is a Swedish illustrator, ceramicist and sometime writer, who has been living in London for the past five years.
