Hear how the world’s most recognisable chimneys at Battersea Power Station were carefully deconstructed and restored to their former glory using original techniques, painstaking precision and some inventive solutions.

For the second year in a row, and following the sell-out success of last year’s event, Battersea Power Station is delighted to once again partner with London Craft Week to offer a fascinating insight into the craftsmanship behind restoring one of the world’s most iconic landmarks.

This year, the partnership explores the careful deconstruction and restoration of the four most recognisable chimneys in the world, with a talk from the Structural Engineers, Heritage Experts and Project Director, describing how the crumbling towers were rebuilt using original techniques, precise colour matching and a few inventive solutions. An exhibit of images and film follows the story of the chimneys from their original construction in the 1930s through to The Chimney Lift Experience planned for the future.
