London-based ceramicist Abigail Schama studied Fine Art at Camberwell and Bristol. Abigail pursued ceramics following a career in painting, drawn to the tactile and functional nature of the craft, and learnt the trade under the tutelage of Loewe Craft Prize finalist Akiko Hirai. Abigail is the founding maker of The Mews Coachworks, a female makers’ space in West London, where she currently makes and teaches. Her work is featured in Elle Decoration, Womankind Magazine, Financial Times Magazine, Country Living Modern Rustic and Crea Japan. Currently selling works at Imprint Space, Maud and Mabel, The New Craftsmen and Monc VIII.
