Alice Klouzková is an acclaimed Czech fashion designer, curator and lecturer whose main focus is on traditional handcraft techniques and their use in contemporary fashion. In her own artistic practice, she often employs indigo print, a technique she promotes herself worldwide. She is the curator of the successful Blue Innovation exhibition project, presenting contemporary trends in Czech indigo textile printing, which has already toured in Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary and Japan. She teaches at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague and heads the Studio of Fashion Design at Scholastika, the school of contemporary arts. She is also a co-founder of the SISTERCONSPIRACY brand specialising in designer menswear and the year 2016 saw the publication of her book Heritage: Tradition, Innovation, Fashion.
