ALT is committed to reducing waste output by transforming unused material into statement jewellery and supporting dignified employment across Southeast Asia. The brand was founded by Angie Lai Tay, who designs with versatility, longevity, and quality in mind.

ALT pieces are proudly made in fair trade workshops in Cambodia, by artisans seeking a fair livelihood. The base metal of each piece is upcycled from spent bullet and bombshell casings, remnants of the Vietnam War, which also pulled Cambodia into its vortex. ALT’s intention is for its pieces to serve as declarations of peace and personal strength, for both maker and wearer.

Because ALT believes in quality over quantity, they spend an incredible amount of time on soldering, carving and shaping each piece by hand. Many designs are inspired by geometric shapes and colonial architecture.

ALT will be featured in Dia Guild’s London Craft Week exhibition, A Luxury Craft Journey Across Southeast Asia. Learn more about ALT here.
