Silverlining is a British furniture maker, coveted across the globe for its work at the nexus of design, craft and technology.
Audrey Fasquelle spent 3 years training in cabinet making in France and a further 3 years specialising in marquetry at the Lycée de l’ameublement de Revel (South of France) where she graduated with a Diplôme des métiers d’art spécialité marqueterie (Diploma in Fine Art Crafts specialty Marquetry).
Before joining Silverlining in 2018, Audrey honed her wood working skills creating bespoke skis and snowboards.
Audrey enjoys introducing people to the art of marquetry and has worked closely with a number of schools to teach their students.
The Innovation in Craft Exhibition will showcase Silverlining’s latest progressive ideas, craftsmanship and finishes in furniture through hand sketches and jewel-like material and finish samples. The exhibition will showcase their recent ‘Provenance’ Collection and new ‘Enriched Sensibilities’ Collection.
There will also be ‘Meet the Maker’ demonstrations on 3 days during the event. To see Audrey demonstrate some of the skills used in Silverlining’s workshops visit them on Wednesday 6th Oct – 11:00-12:30 & 14:00-15:30.
