Ancient jewellery has long been a big influence on Catherine’s work as is nature and the world around her.. Her palette consists of subtle textures and reflections of matt high carat gold complimented by carefully chosen precious stones and beads. The jewellery gradually evolves through the process of making by hand using traditional techniques. The gold is formed by hammering bending and constructing to realise each piece of jewellery. Her work can be found in the public collections of The V & A, The Goldsmiths\’ Company, The Crafts Council. Her work has also appeared in many books on Contemporary Jewellery.
