Clare Twomey is a British artist, researcher, and curator. Twomey has lead strategies of the ‘expanded field’ of ceramics. Her artworks that are site-specific installation and performance, engage in institutional collaboration and foreground temporality and audience participation. Twomeys artworks explore themes of social responsibility, craft skills and production, choreographing process as performance. Her work is concerned with serial production, in the public realm, or through conceptually-motivated outsourcing from industrial manufacturers. Twomey is also actively engaged in research in the applied arts at the University of Westminster.
