Ellen Mae Williams is a textile maker working with natural dyes, she completed a Masters in Textiles at the Royal College of Art in 2019. since graduating Ellen has been developing her namesake brand, specifically creating bespoke, hand-dyed and hand-painted linen fabrics, using sustainable and traditional textile methods but with contemporary applications within interiors.
Ellen’s practice combines textiles with mark making, her pieces form a direct dialogue with the environment from which they are inspired. She sees her textile pieces as abstract interpretations of the natural world, inspired by the changing seasons of the landscape, looking at colour, texture and composition. From linen cushions to table linen, her textiles are designed to bring joy and a sense of escapism to all.
