Emma is a designer and furniture maker, practicing from her workshop in London, where she also runs The New School of Furniture Making, teaching evening and weekend courses.
She studied Fine Woodwork at the Building Crafts college where she became the first women ever to win the national Carpenters Craft Award.
Her work combines traditional technique and modern design, with a focus on the quality of craftsmanship.
Sustainability and Socially responsible design is crucial to the development of Emma’s practice and her latest project is focused on tackling furniture poverty.
