Iva Viana – Sculpture Atelier was born in 2013, in Viana do Castelo, as a personal space of creation and the result of the desire to explore with total freedom and autonomy the experience acquired, namely, in terms of the traditional techniques of decorative plaster sculpture, performing signed work and author pieces.
The passion for ‘making by hand’ and the continuous experimentation around the crossing of manual procedures for modeling stucco with modern casting processes of different materials, mark a desired meeting between the past and the future, applied both to objects and to buildings, or even the landscape, on which it proposes to intervene.
