About
Jessie de Salis is an artist specialising in textile design. She creates hand-printed fabrics from her studio in Bristol.
Using traditional analog screen-printing processes, Jessie produces bold and vibrant designs inspired by the changing moods of the natural world and the tales from years gone by. Her designs embody the imagery and motifs of classic myth and local folklore as well as native flora and fauna as she adapts these classic concepts into contemporary pieces.
All of Jessie’s creations start with fabrics that are sustainably and locally sourced. Using a mix of water-based and biodegradable inks, all of her designs are hand printed on silk, linen, organic cotton and wool.
