Laila Diallo is a Canadian-born, Bristol-based dance maker.
Alongside independently and collaboratively devising work for live performance, Laila often works as movement director/choreographer in theatre and opera. Recent works have explored notions of change, impermanence, remembering and forgetting, and our experience of time passing. For Footnotes, Diallo will record the sonic imprints of performance, revealing the music of shoed feet on floors.
'... [The piece] resonates with a sense of presence and immediacy, of being in the here and now and experiencing something sublime but also connected to history, the past and how we can rethink our relationship to the world.' Alex Wren on In This Moment, Buzz Magazine
