About

Lisa Pettibone is a UK based artist and curator working in sculptural glass. Expressing
concepts related to gravity, tension, light and form she investigates human perception
through the lens of science. Incorporating other media in her work, she specialises in glass slumping to record natural forces such as the pull of gravity. With a BA in 3D Design in Glass from UCA Farnham UK and a MA in Art and Science from Central Saint Martins London, she has an interest in space science and physics. Recently her glass microgravity sculpture went to the International Space Station with the Moon Gallery Foundation. Exhibiting in the UK and Europe, she is a member of the Royal Society of British Sculptors. She took part in Collect International Art Fair London and the British Glass Biennale in 2022. From her studio in Surrey, she teaches advanced glass making courses and welcomes site specific commissions
