About

Megan Willis (b. London, England 1995) is an artist whose work includes painting, drawing, textiles and installation art.

Her interest in pattern led her to pursue a masters at the Royal College of Art in Textile Design, which she graduated from in June 2020.

Megan’s work is inspired by research into altered states of consciousness for healing, and how this can be explored through the repetitive, meditative act of creating pattern. She is interested in how pattern can express energetic states, exploring how repeated shapes and symbols can create a vibrational hum of energy on the page alluding to a living presence. A crucial theme in her work is the process of journeying inward, and doors, portals and roads are all important motifs.
