Naomi McIntosh is a designer and maker with an architectural background. She studied Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture University College London, before gaining a Masters Degree in Design from Central Saint Martins in London.
Naomi is interested in how objects relate to the body. She manipulates surfaces to create sculptural objects. She thinks of the pieces as wearable drawings, using planes and lines to suggest forms and capture volumes. Ultimately, transforming 2D surfaces into 3D objects. With precise geometry, her pieces investigate how volumes, patterns, planes and forms are seen.
Her work is produced by combining a broad range of skills, combining digital and hand processes and using 3D body scanning Rhino alongside hand drawings and making skills.
