About

Neil Felipp San Pedro began his design journey as a student of Industrial Design in the University of the Philippines Cebu. After apprenticing with world-renowned furniture designer, Kenneth Cobonpue, and while immersed in the family business of manufacturing and exporting metal components and accessories, Neil designed a bag for his mother. It was in this experience that he found his passion in using brass work for fashion accessories.

Neil started his eponymous label in 2010. Awards and recognitions to his credit include the British Council’s Look of Style Awards Accessory Category Winner in 2014, Preview Magazine’s Rising Creatives, a mention in Kevin Kwan’s Crazy Rich Asians trilogy, and costume credits in the movie adaptation of Crazy Rich Asians, among others.

Each Neil Felipp piece is made in Cebu by hand. Artisans hand-pick shells specific to certain tones and variations, or make parchment from animal skin for the structured clutches. Metalsmiths produce the intricately designed hardware and painters bring life to the bags with deftly painted details. The Neil Felipp design trademark integrates detailed metal craftsmanship, material innovations and a design driven on ethereal elegance that runs through all his creations, be it jewelry, bags or home accessories.

Neil Felipp will be featured in Dia Guild’s London Craft Week exhibition, A Luxury Craft Journey Across Southeast Asia. Learn more about Neil Felipp here.
