About

Pink House by Rebecca Cole champions artisan textile traditions from Europe and Nigeria.

Rebecca creates bespoke textiles using traditional Nigerian hand-woven textiles, she has re-thought them and introduced them as trims for upholstery and furnishings.

Rebecca’s experience as a designer informs the curation of this collection encompassing traditions of cross-cultural print, stitch and weave.
Pink House by Rebecca Cole combines a passion for pattern, stitch and texture creating a three stranded collection: Original hand block-printed designs applied to simple hand-woven strips or vintage linen; Woven trims in a collection of over 100 designs and Embroidered borders, echoing Nigerian traditions for traditional ceremonial clothing, decorated with intricate freehand machine embroidery. Working with artisans in Nigeria, Rebecca designs and embellishes these trims to create individual pieces.

Traditional Yoruba starch-resist textile designs are represented in the Pink House by Rebecca Cole Collection as art-quality wallpaper giving the illusion of fabric walling.

A founder member of the Makers Tales Collective, Rebecca will be taking part in the discussion panel “Celebrating the beauty of imperfection” with Grace McCloud (The World Of Interiors) on the 6th October.
