Sachiko Pearce

Sachiko Pearce was born in the southern island of Kyushu, Japan in 1957 and came to England in 1977. She qualified as a nurse at University College Hospital London before marriage then worked in finance in the City.

Sachiko teaches at Ikenobo Surrey Group, covering Shoka, Rikka and Shimputai styles of Ikenobo School, and is a NAFAS area demonstrator covering Kent, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire, London, Oxfordshire and Sussex since 2014, doing 15 – 20 demonstrations per year. Her recent floral competition prize was 2ndprize at RHS Wisley 2018 under “I dreamed a dream”, and she exhibited “Flowers from the World: Japan” at Hampton Court Palace “Florimania Exhibition 2018”.  She is currently finishing a Contemporary Floral Design course.

Apart from the floral activities for Ikebana and NAFAS, she also a member of Int’l Ikebana London. Her floral designs often stem from Japanese culture.

In addition to the above, Sachiko continues to work at Harley Street as a medical interpreter three days a week, and also works for Emergency Assistance Japan in the UK.
