Sandy is an artist and writer who has been painting professionally for over a decade. She has exhibited artworks internationally and has taught painting techniques to students of various skill levels. Working largely in acrylics, her paintings take after a surrealist tradition, altering banal sceneries and subject matter with uncanny interventions.
Whilst her background is in fine arts, Sandy is fascinated by the way in which everyday objects can be rendered into artworks through craft and care.
With an MA in Contemporary Art Theory from Goldsmiths, University of London, Sandy aims to introduce the mindful and meditative practice of painting as a means to express and explore a visual language that cannot be communicated through words.
