Vicky Cowin is a textile artist who uses weaving to explore surface, texture and three dimensionality. She has found the ritualistic and meditative qualities of weaving inspire her work. She uses complex traditional techniques such as handwoven velvet and multiple clothes to elevate flat planes to constructed surfaces.
Vicky is part of the Cockpit Collective, presenting ‘Textile + Surface’ at The Future of Craft, Oxo Tower Wharf for London Craft Week.
