XIONG Songtao is the inheritor of Chinese Cloisonné - a technique which he uses to delicately apply enamelling techniques to watch faces.
XIONG Songtao, Master of Arts and Crafts in Beijing and the third generation inheritor of National Intangible Cultural Heritage of China: China Cloisonné (enamel). He has been focusing on the design and creation of enamel artworks for more than 20 years, and his enameling works for watch dial have filled the technological gap in China in the field of wristwatch and its collection.
From June 2011 to April 2012, he participated in one of China's manned space engineering missions: to develop wristwatches for female astronauts. These wristwatches had been successfully used in Shenzhou 9 and Shenzhou 10 missions, making a crossover from traditional craft to the aerospace industry.
