You Yong-cheol has been active for over 30 years. He chose to focus on the buncheong technique, embracing its characteristics. The artist’s exquisite pots present dramatic glazes, floral stamped decorations and white slip on which impurities coming from the kiln sit further decorating the piece.
Yu exhibited his works on numerous occasions both domestically in Korea and internationally, such as in the USA and in the UK. His works belong to collections in Russia, Myanmar and USA.
